Giving and Estate Planning

Make checks Payable to: St Matthew's Episcopal Church. Normally, checks go into the general operating fund, however, you may use the memo line if designating for some particular use.

Here are just a few ways you can give from God’s bountiful providence:

1. Offering plate during worship services

2. Mail to:

P.O. Box 2337

3. Use your Credit Union or Bank's ability to send periodic checks to the church (preferably monthly but weekly will work if necessary for you), this is especially useful for fulfilling your annual pledge.

Estate planning and Tax ID information:  74-2295842

You may at some point need to have the church's Tax ID for donations of many kinds, for example: many find that required withdrawals from IRAs and such become a tax liability rather than a help with retirement. Some have needed this number to help with donating some or all of that amount. The ID may also be helpful with estate planning.

Pledging

Pledging (or forecasting your giving) to St. Matthew’s helps the Vestry (church council) plan the spending for running the physical plant (grounds and buildings), congregational giving (outside missions and ministries), and programs. The normal time for pledging is fall to help the Vestry plan the upcoming year. However, you can pledge for the current fiscal year at anytime. The Vestry is always grateful for any foreknowledge of fiscal obligations both incoming and outgoing.

If you have not made a pledge and would like to, you can obtain a pledge form in the office or fill out an electronic pledge form here: Pledge Form

Thank you for your fellowship and faithful support. While considering your pledge, you may want to consider a joyful "stepped increase" as shown in the "Step of Faith" giving guide. The step you take will be strengthened by the steps of others. Together we fulfill God's will for our church.

You may not be aware of all the day to day activities in our church, but you can take joy in knowing that through your giving you are a part and a blessing in everything we do.

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
